MARTA SOLAZ is an LA-based, well-known actor originally from Barcelona, Spain. She’s enjoyed a long career in the Performing Arts working in both Film and Television, as well as main-stage Theater.

She is best known for her main role of Violeta in the TV pop phenomena “Al Salir de Clase”. The first network TV series in Spain to cause a massive fan effect. She has also had other regular roles in many popular series such as “Hospital Central”, ”Centro Médicoand “Ventdepla”.

Marta also worked in critically acclaimed films such as “After”, directed by Alberto Rodriguez, “El Amor se mueve” and “Trash,” both films led to Best Actress in the Catalan Gaudí Academy Award nominations and Best Actress Award wins at the Paco Rabal Festival in Spain.

Her many years of formal training make Marta one of the most versatile Spanish actors in Los Angeles today. She studied with acting coach Juan Carlos Corazza at his Corazza Studio in Madrid. (The Corazza method is now one of the most well-known and seeked-after acting training methods in the country). This made Marta Solaz the best casting choice for the one-actor play “El Pack” which was a critically acclaimed one-woman show in the Teatros del Canal (part of the National Theater), as well as other successful plays as “La Cocina” and “Incrementum”, both performing several seasons at the Spanish National Theater with great success.

Marta also attended one of the best academies for Musical Theater in Barcelona and has led her to cast in several lead roles in Broadway adaptations in Spain of such as “Singing in the Rain”, where she did a stellar job with her Lina Lamont, for which she received a nomination for Best Actress by the Spanish Actor’s Union Awards.
